Deuteronomy 31:6

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them,
for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

I found this website http://mydevotion.com, which gives you chapters to read and then also provides commentary from everyday people as to how they interpret various verses.  I thought this comment was a wonderful explanation of the verse above:

I should not be afraid of people or things or even of my future because, again, God is telling me .. He is going BEFORE me in time and preparing the way for me. And I know and I know and I know He will not fail me nor forsake me. He has promised me and He will deliver. My future, my good future, is in His hands and in His hands alone. I can trust in Him and be courageous because He will NOT fail me nor forsake me.
