We are blessed that we live by our town’s local airport. By “local”, I mean it is literally a grass field with an open hanger on one side. The reason I say we are blessed though is that we get to see the beauty of hot air balloons all spring, summer and fall. There have been mornings where I am laying in bed and can hear the familiar sound of the fire blowing into the balloons to lift them into the air.
We were driving home this past August and happened to see all of these going up at the same time and what a site it was! We pulled over to the side of the road to stop and watch them float into the air. It was simply beautiful and calming!
